Its journey commenced on the 7th of January 2016 under the name "Piggybank.ng," where it served as a dedicated savings platform, offering individuals a reliable and accessible means to save money securely. As the platform gained popularity and trust among users, it eventually evolved into PiggyVest, broadening its services to encompass not just savings but also investment opportunities, empowering people to grow their wealth and achieve their financial goals. Throughout its transformation, PiggyVest has remained committed to fostering a culture of financial prudence and empowerment, making a significant impact on the financial landscape in West Africa. Why I replicated the Piggyvest app?
The reason for replicating the PiggyVest app was its simplicity, which I've admired during my extensive use of the application. It's one of those apps that many people remain loyal to due to its user-friendly interface. The process of redesigning the PiggyVest app exposed me to valuable design thinking methods, an experience I truly appreciate.

PiggyVest equips individuals with the tools to break free from excessive spending and instead offers them the ability to securely save and grow their finances. Through this innovative application, users have the option to select from two unique saving techniques. First, they may choose a periodic saving strategy by allocating small sums of money on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, aimed at a particular target or objective. This approach promotes regular financial discipline and steady progress towards fulfilling personal ambitions. Secondly, the app's “lock away” feature allows users to deposit funds for a predetermined duration, ensuring these remain untouched until the specified time elapses.
